Boost Performance with Data-Driven Insights
Performance is a critical ingredient in creating a successful eCommerce shopping experience, but identifying exactly how to improve it can be a challenge. The New Relic Reporting extension removes that ambiguity by enabling you to access real-time Magento performance and business insights using New Relic APM and New Relic Insights.
Join our webinar on August 19 to learn more about the new extension or take advantage of a free 60-day trial from New Relic to get started today.
Improve Performance
Integrating Magento with SaaS-based New Relic Application Performance Management (APM) provides you with real-time visibility into how your ecommerce application and environment are performing. You can get the detail you need, including code-level visibility, end-to-end transaction tracing, and third-party extension dependencies, to quickly identify and address performance bottlenecks. You can also set up custom alerts and triggers to ensure that key transactions and processes are running reliably.
Jon Azrielant, Director of Marketing at Jewelry.com, has been testing the new extension with Magento and has found it invaluable to improving their customer experience. “Using the New Relic Reporting extension for Magento and New Relic APM has allowed us to pinpoint ways to improve site performance and to cut the time it takes to resolve issues. Alerts automatically notify us whenever key processes, transactions or our Apdex response time score deteriorate for more than 10 minutes. We immediately open a ticket and typically resolve the issue within an hour,” said Azrielant. “Having access to real-time application performance and transaction dashboards let us know exactly where we need to focus our development efforts to optimize our site’s shopping experience.”
Get Data-Driven Insights
The New Relic Reporting extension for Magento also integrates with New Relic Insights to give you an entirely new view into your business. Using New Relic Insights’ powerful data visualization tools and customizable dashboards, you can view both performance information and Magento data in real-time. By combining application, environment and Magento business data, such as transaction activity, page views, order values, and customer counts, in one reporting tool, you can more easily see how your underlying application performance influences your business.
You can also use the New Relic Query Language (NRQL), an SQL-like language, to create ad hoc Magento business and application metric reports. Azrielant has found New Relic Insights to be particularly useful in sharing data across his organization and driving discussions with his executive team. “I’ve had several interactive sessions with my CIO where I’ve used the dashboards and queries to dig into data and to identify the most important issues to address,” said Azrielant.
